The Programme

I have designed this programme to be holistic and address a young person’s emotional, educational and socio-economic circumstances while also getting back to basics with practical support and advice.

Over 6 weeks I will work with the group to cover all of the following subjects, monitoring progress and communicating regularly with teachers to ensure optimum outcomes.

The programmes are inclusive and are designed to support young people dealing with brushes with the law, anti-social behaviour, disruptive behaviour, inadequate employment prospects, substance dependency, difficult family lives, anger issues and behavioural problems.  The subjects below will also be covered throughout the programme.

    •    Positive communication and engagement

    •    Time and money management

    •    Setting goals

    •    Self esteem and confidence

    •    Dreams/aspirations

    •    Society and social responsibility

    •    Assessing challenges and thinking about solutions

    •    Managing family issues and home life

    •    Anger and stress management

    •    Attendance and Routine

I am an experienced mentor focussed on showing empathy, listening, gaining trust and holding clear boundaries to assist a young person to gain new perspectives on their behaviour and circumstances and set targets for the future.

I specialise in working with young people who are on report, at risk of offending or re-offending, show disrespectful behaviour, inconsistent attendance, difficulty with authority and poor communication skills.

Mentoring can be complimentary to the 6-week core programme or can be organised independently for select young people who need support and guidance.
